This cake was commissioned by a Mum for her daughter’s 21st birthday. She asked to include models of a number of special things from her daughter’s childhood and adolescence, including a ceramic Buddha she made for her A level project which was pivotal in deciding her career path.
Small blue flowers with tiny piped leaves.
I’m having a dalliance with cupcakes. Not my usual thing, but these are more like miniature versions of my larger cakes than the traditional swirly buttercream and sprinkles.
These are Mothers’ Day cupcakes – available for collection or delivery (free in RG30, contact me for delivery costs to other areas of Reading) on Friday 8th or Saturday 9th March.
Lemon cupcakes with lemon icing, any combination of the designs in the picture.
2 cupcakes – £5
6 cupcakes – £10
12 cupcakes – £19
But wait! Before you rush to order, I will be GIVING AWAY a box of 6 cupcakes (delivered to any address in Reading). To enter, simply comment on this post, letting me know which is your favourite of these three designs. I will choose a winner using the traditional names in hat method at 6pm on Sunday 24th Feb.
Planets and stars against a silvery, inky-blue sky (the chocolate cake is dark and rich to match).
A dairy and egg free pirate.
Tulips and balloons were requested for this birthday cake. Stacking two small cakes (6 inch and 7 inch chocolate cakes) made an impressive centrepiece for a party, as ‘grass’ and ‘sky’.
The daisies brought the two cakes together.
The top tier was lifted carefully off and re-dressed to serve a second party!
Sparkly flowers and butterflies.
